Privacy policy

Arpent creates no account, uses no location, shows no ads and tracks no one. Your steps and your game stay on your iPhone.
1. Your steps
Arpent reads each day's step count, using the iPhone's motion sensor or, if you turn it on, the Health app (Apple Watch steps, wheelchair pushes). These numbers are only used to work out the game's ink and stay on the device. Arpent writes nothing to Health.
2. No location
The game's valley is imaginary: Arpent never asks for access to your location.
3. Your game
The revealed map, the villagers you've met and your achievements are saved on the iPhone only.
4. Widget
The widget reads a small summary (today's steps, ink) that the app leaves in a shared space on the device (App Group). It never leaves the iPhone.
5. Game Center
Optional: if you're signed in to Game Center, your achievements are sent there by Apple, under Game Center's privacy policy.
6. No tracking
No advertising or analytics SDK in the game. App Store label: "Data Not Collected".
7. This website
This site uses Google Analytics only if you accept it in the banner; without consent, no tracker is set.
